The River Cam

Even given a mention in Chaucer's infamous Canterbury Tales, The River Cam certainly adds to the Cambridge experience. Although the river is best enjoyed during the summer months, all year round people are seen embarking on punts for a leisurely tour of the river.
You will see the famous Cambridge College 'Backs', including King's College Chapel, The Wren Library at Trinity College, and the Bridge of Sighs.
There are four main lisenced punting companies in Cambridge: you can either look out for them while strolling around the city, or you can book here.
On a nice day, why not take a picnic to enjoy on your punt? Conversely, on a rainy day... take an umbrella.
